Hi, I’m Erin.

I am a writer and information professional based in Portland, OR. I have over seven years of experience in content design and UX writing at companies such as Facebook and Airbnb.

I’m currently a content designer on the Developer Interfaces team at Facebook. I design the surfaces and tools that third-party developers use to build and manage apps using Facebook’s APIs. I’ve created voice, tone, and design frameworks for new products and I write clear, concise content for everything from product names to navigational elements to emails and notifications. I also dabble in content standards, terminology, information architecture, and UX research.

I hold a Masters degree in Information Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and I’m passionate about organizing information. I’m always happy to nerd out about classification systems. I also have undergraduate degrees in Writing Seminars and Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University, so get in touch if you have questions about the meaning of life.

My hobbies include hiking, weightlifting, making weird stuff in Photoshop, and spoiling my cats. I'm currently teaching myself to cook and play the banjo—ideally not at the same time.
